A sold-out 300-date world tour over the last 18 months has brought The Parlotones to the attention of music fans in Germany, Russia, France, Italy, Spain, Austria and the US and after packing out 1000+ capacity venues in the UK by word of mouth alone, this internationally successful band are now set to mount a serious assault on the UKs charts.

From their origins in Johannesburg, South Africa, the rock 4-piece have achieved multi-Platinum-selling success in their home country. LAIL ARAD

PRESENTED BY RUTH MEDJBER

Having already seen comparisons to Moldy Peaches Kimya Dawson and Martha Wainwright, the wonderful Lail Arad is a 26 year-old singer/songwriter from London-via-Israel. She couples sophisticated folk/ pop with some wonderfully sharp & funny lyrics. Shes already performed an impromptu version of her song Winter alongside Devendra Banhart and is gearing up for the release of her debut album in the spring. I am totally in love with the tongue-in-cheek video she shot after seeing Adam Green perform in London.

Make no mistake, this girl is going places! She has all the panache of a Kate Nash or a Lily Allen but in a more sensual, fun way. Sure, there is more polishing of the rough edges, but not too much I hope. There is something endearing in the DIY videos she has produced thus far. I am really loving this girl! Enthused? You bet I am!! Will have much more to tell you about Lail over the next few weeks, but for now enjoy the first taster from the album.
